In conjunction with Soul Calibur V…Here’s the 3D Fighter Game Tier (to me at least).
A+ Tier
Virtua Fighter series from 2 onwards. Disagree if you want. but if you compete on a serious level in tekken? play VF for about 3 months straight…then go back to Tekken. you’ll be pretty dam good; VF is too technical for you not to get better at any 3D fighter.
A Tier
Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 5 DR, Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 2 and 3. Tobal 1 & 2(yep…i said it…tobal’s frame rate looks like VF 3. no bullshit.) Bushido Blades. Power Stones. Fighters Megamix.
B Tier.
Soul Calibur 1. Tekken 2. Dead or Alive 3. Soul Edge/Blade. Bloody Roar 2. Tekken 3. Naruto fighters. Last Bronx. MK deception.
C tier
Soul Calibur IV (yep….when a game is that broken…it leaves me no choice). Dead or Alive 2. Dead Or Alive. Tekken 1. Battle Arena toshinden, street fighter Ex series, Dragon Ball fighters.
D Tier
Bloody Roar series post part 2. All Mortal kombats post deception and pre reboot. Thrill Kill. Sonic The Fighters. Anything SNK ever attempted in 3D.
